Basic Fire Awareness

This two and a half hour training course will provide a foundation of knowledge and greater awareness in relation to Fire Safety, managing and reducing risk from fire as well as providing the understanding to produce and develop an effective company health and safety culture.

Candidates will be able to explore the practical and theoretical actions to help reduce the risk of fire happening in the work place.

It may also be used as a fire awareness update.

• Practical use of fire extinguishers with live fire.

 

 

Aims/Outcomes

·Candidates will have the knowledge and tools to respond and manage basic fire safety issues in the work environment
 

·Successful candidates will receive a Level 1 Certification in Fire Safely Awareness and a book to accompany the course.

 

 This course will be attended by

• All staff members, at all levels.​

On completion of training, candidates will be required to undertake a small examination of ten questions as a proof of learning exercise. A past mark of 70% is required.
