ABOUT OUR FOUNDER
Kev Diaper
Kev was born and bred in Bournemouth in Dorset. Upon leaving school, Kev trained as a Motor Vehicle Technician. With a keen interest in the backstage world, he then became a Theatre Lighting Engineer and worked at The Bournemouth International Centre, Pavilion Theatre and Richmond Theatre in London. He also undertook two national musical tours as Chief Electrician with the shows Leader of the Pack and Spend Spend Spend.
In his late twenties, Kev decided to move on from the world of theatre and do something to give back to the community so joined Hampshire Fire and Rescue service serving at Lyndhurst fire station. Kev also worked as a Firefighter at Goodwood Aerodrome in West Sussex and at Bournemouth Airport. Unfortunately he had to retire from this industry because of injury at the age of 38. Until the start of Minimal Risk Fire Safety, Kev worked for a local housing association as a Health, Safety and Compliance Professional.
Kev has the NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety and the NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety, is a member of the Institute of Fire Safety Managers, a member of the Institute for Safety & Health (IOSH) and also a member of the British Standards Institute.
